What exactly is Balayage?

Balayage is a French word for a "sweep" or "dye. It gives a sun-kissed, natural effect to your hair color. A big advantage because it gives hardly any outgrowth. It looks all natural!

How is this technique applied?

The color is applied to the surface of the hair, and not completely saturated into the hair which is normally done. This results in the hair containing subtle "sweeps" of lighter sections in the lengths. Foils are usually used with this technique but again, we will always use the proper technique to create the discussed plan.

So what makes a Balayage so special?

This color can be well adapted to the natural fall of the hair and what suits the hairstyle, with a subtle effect. We look together with you what color looks best.

Is it suitable for all hair colors/hairpes?

This color technique can be applied to both blonde and brown hair. Balayage works for all hair lengths; from long hair to a short head. for style, blow or curly hair.

How long does it take to deploy?

Allow for a treatment of 2.5 to 3 hours. However, it can also take longer, it depends on the wishes and the existing color at that time.

I am very dark myself, can I lighten with balayage?
It is certainly possible, but it depends on whether you have naturally dark hair or dyed dark hair. Previously dyed or washed hair is more difficult to lighten and usually needs a toner (color neutralizer) to make it a natural shade.

Which balayage color should I go for?

You can create many different types of Balayage shades, it all depends on your existing hair color and what color looks nice with your skin tone. If you have naturally dark brown hair, it is nice when you go several shades lighter, for a smooth color gradient.

Is a keratin treatment suitable for every type of hair?

The result of the keratin treatment remains visible for about four months. However, it varies from person to person how long the result is visible. In addition, it depends on your lifestyle. Washing your hair, swimming in chlorinated water or sea water and exposing your hair to UV light decreases the amount of keratin in the hair.

Can I dye or blonde my hair after treatment?
Yes, if you have had a keratin treatment you can dye or blonde your hair a few days after the treatment.Not the same day , because hair dye contains hydrogen peroxide. This reduces the effect of the keratin treatment. A color rinse is allowed the same day.

How long does a keratin treatment take?
The duration of a keratin treatment depends on the thickness and length of the hair. A treatment takes at least two and a half hours, but can extend to four and a half hours if you have very long and thick hair.

5.3 In case of force majeure including illness of the make-up artist/hairstylist Hair and makeup by Denida will find a solution in consultation with the client.Hair and makeup by Denida can at any time cancel the order partially or completely. Invoicing will be adjusted accordingly.

All rates and prices specifically intended for individuals include 9% and/or 21% VAT.

2.1Hairand makeup by Denida can be hired for a specific service where the rate for this service applies, or for a specific amount of hours. When booking a makeup artist by the hour, the hourly rate applies. In this case, the make-up artist/hairstylist is booked for a half day or a full day. A half day is based on 4 working hours and a full day is based on 8 working hours.

2.2 The first hour exceeded in accordance with the contract will be booked as overtime and billed as the basic hourly rate. Any additional overtime will also be based on the standard hourly rate however with an addition of 50%.

2.3 For work performed by the makeup artist/hairstylist between 24:00 and 08:00, Hair an makeup by Denida will charge 200% of the basic hourly rate.
